Mandalas are fascinating symbols of harmony, balance and infinity. Each of them carries a unique energy and story. One of the most beautiful techniques for creating a mandala is Dot Art – painting with dots. This technique requires patience, precision and, above all, a love of creation. In this article, I will introduce you to my process of painting mandalas using this unique method.

  1. Preparing the base and choosing colors
Before I start painting, I choose a suitable base. I most often use canvas, wood or stone, because each of these materials has a different energy and the resulting effect is slightly different.

I choose colors according to intuition or the specific intention that I want to express with the mandala. For example:
🔵 Blue – peace and spiritual depth
🟢 Green – harmony and growth
🔴 Red – energy and passion
🟣 Purple – spiritual connection and intuition

After choosing a color palette, I prepare acrylic paints and mix them to the desired consistency to work well with them.

  1. Sketching the basic structure
Although Dot Art allows for intuitive creation, it is important to maintain symmetry and balance when creating a mandala. Therefore, I first mark the center of the mandala with a pencil and use a compass or stencils to create basic circular lines. These help me keep the mandala balanced and precise.
  2. Working with dots – the heart of the Dot Art technique
The main element of this technique is dots of different sizes, which gradually create beautiful ornamental patterns. To apply them I use:

🎨 Special Dot Art tools – different sized tips for precise dotting
🎨 Skewers or needles – for smaller details
🎨 Brush tips – for larger dots

I always start from the center of the mandala and gradually work outwards, layer by layer. Every dot is important and each layer adds depth and dynamics.

When dotting, I focus on breathing and the present moment – I perceive each dot as part of the whole, as the energy that I put into the mandala.

  1. Finishing and final details
After applying all the layers, I let the paint dry thoroughly. Then I can add fine details, highlight contrasts or even use metallic colors or glitter to give a special effect.

Finally, I varnish the mandala to protect it and keep its colors vibrant.

  1. Mandala as a message of energy
Each mandala I create carries a hidden message and its energy is unique. I believe that Dot Art technique is not just about dots, but about patience, meditation and creating with the heart.

Painting mandalas with this technique is a form of relaxation and spiritual practice for me. Each dot is like a pulsating energy that forms a perfect whole – just like all of us in the universe.

✨ May each mandala bring light, peace and harmony to your life! ✨

If this technique appeals to you, be sure to try it – it is a wonderful path to inner peace and creativity. 😊
